²⁰ The inhabited cities will lie in ruins, and the land will be a desolate waste. Thus you will know that I am the Lord.

²¹ Fulfillment of Visions. This word of the Lord then came to me: ²² Son of man, there is a saying that has become fashionable in regard to the land of Israel: “The days drag by, and no visions are ever fulfilled.”
